Jinhua is making efforts to speed up the consolidation of the industrial areas and the gathering of the country and town industry towards to city. The city-level industrial areas focusing on the economy of scale and foreign enterprises; the specialized industrial area on the integration of the characteristic block economy in the gathering regions; industrial estate preparing development platforms for small enterprises; household processing industry, being greatly developed, dependent on the markets in Yiwu and Yongkang. Great efforts are focused on the cultivation of key agricultural enterprises, on the adjustment of agricultural structure, and on the industrialization of agriculture. By now, there are 290 above-the-scale processing corporations for farming produce; 190 key agricultural corporations above the county level, among which 90 key processing ones are linked to the production base of 320,000 mu for farming produce and to 150,000 farm households. The output of the four leading industries of dairy products, fruit and vegetable, flowers and nursery stock, and traditional Chinese medicine material reaches a total of 3.6 billion yuan, accounting for 38% of the gross agricultural output. The development of the town tertiary industry is also on the agenda. Through such measures as the rearrangement of traditional fair trade markets, the cultivation of special markets for characteristic farming production, and the encouragement on the market-operating pattern in central towns, it also energetically explores the development of real estate and enhances the grouping and absorption ability of the town and country.
